Nudi (translated into Nudes) is an exhibition composed of 90 photographs of nudes at Centro Pecci, in Prato, Italy.
The pictures are a research on the human body and nudity, focusing on the relationships between humans and nature. The main characters are young Chinese people together with swans, peacocks, snakes, flowers but also fruits like cherries, apples used as unique props.
All the protagonists are displayed in a suspended dimension, like a dream state, in which the bodies seem to float in a moment in history and in a world that is impossible to identify with certainty.

The artist died in his thirties in 2017 after suffering of severe depression that led to suicide, which had an intense impact on the Chinese art scene of his generation.
For Ren Hang, the camera is an instrument for documentation through which he made widely available pictures that weren’t intended to be hanged on a wall in a museum.
‘We were born naked… I photograph only things in their most natural condition.’ declared Ren Hang.
